Chopped Strand Mat (CSM) is a high-performance, non-woven reinforcement material made from premium E-CR glass filaments. The strands are randomly but evenly distributed (approximately 50 mm in length) and bonded using an emulsion binder with a silane coupling agent. This design ensures excellent resin compatibility, durability, and consistent lamination results in various composite applications.
Superior corrosion and hydrolysis resistance
Ideal for chemically aggressive and marine environments due to the robust nature of E-CR glass.
Excellent resin wettability
Fast resin absorption with strong adhesion, promoting low air entrapment during hand lay-up or spray-up.
Enhanced drapability and surface finish
Easily conforms to complex mold shapes with minimal spring-back, enabling smooth, resin-rich laminate surfaces.
Efficient and economical
Optimized for low resin consumption while maintaining mechanical strength and structural integrity.
