Surface Tissue Mat is a lightweight, non-woven E-glass veil engineered to provide a smooth, high-quality surface finish in fibre-reinforced composites. Manufactured with uniform, fine-diameter glass filaments bonded using a specialized emulsion binder, it offers excellent resin absorption and forms a resin-rich top layer that enhances both visual appearance and durability.
Serving as the final layer in composite structures, this mat improves surface smoothness, enhances UV and moisture resistance, and effectively masks the texture of underlying reinforcement materials like chopped strand or woven fabrics.
Smooth Surface Finish
Minimizes fibre print-through and delivers clean aesthetics—ideal for visible marine, architectural, and automotive applications.
Improved Weather Resistance
Forms a dense, resin-rich barrier that protects against water, salt, and UV degradation.
Barrier & Protective Layer
Acts as a moisture and corrosion barrier, improving long-term durability of the laminate.
Enhanced Resin Compatibility
Quickly wets out with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins—reducing air entrapment and ensuring a strong bond.
Flexible and Conformable
Easily follows complex mold contours, making it suitable for hand lay-up, spray-up, pultrusion, and winding applications.
