Polyshield Seal Face Insul Coat is a high-performance thermal insulation coating engineered to preserve energy efficiency, prevent insulation damage, and protect surfaces in even the most demanding environments. Applied as a seamless outer jacket over insulation materials such as foam or mineral wool, it forms a durable, weatherproof, and UV-resistant skin that locks in insulation performance and extends the life of the system.

Once cured, Polyshield becomes an integral part of the insulation system – acting as a second skin that safeguards against environmental wear, mechanical impact, moisture ingress, and chemical exposure. Its low thermal diffusivity and high flexibility allow it to absorb thermal shock and movement without cracking – an essential property for exterior or rooftop installations subject to sudden temperature changes.

Reinforcement Requirement

Because many insulation substrates are soft or compressible, reinforcement with fiberglass mesh or tape is essential before applying Polyshield. This reinforcing layer (usually a high-temp, fire-resistant fiberglass cloth or tape) is embedded within the first coat to create a tough, crack-resistant composite. It can withstand service temperatures up to ~500°C and ensures structural stability even on curved or vulnerable areas.
