Orthophthalic GP Resin – Crystal® 1010

Crystal® 1010 is a high-performance general-purpose orthophthalic polyester resin suitable for a wide range of FRP moulding and laminating applications. Its balanced reactivity, clarity, and mechanical performance make it a dependable choice for industrial fabricators, particularly in boat building, sanitaryware, tanks, panels, and decorative laminates. The resin offers consistent gel and cure profiles, supporting both hand lay-up and spray-up methods under controlled workshop conditions.

With a medium viscosity and a reliable gel time (approx. 10–12 minutes with 1.5% MEKP), Crystal® 1010 ensures thorough fibre wet-out and strong adhesion with chopped strand mats, woven roving, and fillers. It’s ideal for standard FRP panel manufacturing and general structural applications where fast turnaround and cost-effectiveness are required.

Operating Conditions

• Best results in ambient workshops at 20–30°C

• Avoid curing below 18°C or in high humidity

• Maintain MEKP addition at 1.5% for consistent performance

Storage & Shelf Life

• Stable for 2 months from manufacturing if stored below 25°C

• Keep in original sealed container, away from sunlight and moisture

• Do not expose to catalyst contamination or extreme heat
